The recognition certifies that we have verified the greenhouse gas inventory of Mina Yanaquihua for the 2025 period.
At Minera Yanaquihua we have obtained the second star of the Huella de Carbono Perú programme, awarded by the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM). With this recognition, MINAM certifies that we have implemented the second level of greenhouse gas (GHG) management, known as "Verification", for the 2025 period, covering our Mina Yanaquihua site.
Huella de Carbono Perú is the Peruvian State's official tool for recognising how public and private organisations manage their GHG emissions. The programme awards up to four stars according to the level reached: measurement, verification, reduction and neutralisation. The second star goes to organisations that, beyond measuring their emissions, submit their inventory to verification by an independent external body.
To reach this level we quantified the GHG emissions of our operations at Mina Yanaquihua and submitted the results to an independent verification, which confirms that our calculation faithfully reflects the reality of the operation. We therefore hold reliable information about our emission sources, the necessary basis for designing reduction measures.
This achievement brings us closer to the next level of the programme, emissions reduction, which requires demonstrating a verified decrease in our carbon footprint. We manage our emissions with the aim of contributing to the country's climate action and caring for the environment of the communities in our area of influence.
